Deeply and Dearly

I long so badly to hear you voice,
It pains me so to know you are no longer here.
Where you once were,
An image of your memory slowly fades.
The aftermath has shook my soul,
I fear I may never be whole again,
You are not near me,
But I can feel you're always close by.
I miss you so dearly,
I love you so deeply.
Nothing could ever replace you within my heart.
I wish I could speak with you just one last time.
I look at your picture and swear I can still hear your voice.
I know I'm not the only one hurting,
And there is no one to take the blame.
If I could go back in time I would take away your pain.
 I'd make you live forever,
If only that could be.
You were the one who understood me,
Without ever saying a word.
I miss you so dearly,
I love you so deeply.
There is no one to share the things we shared,
No one to feed the birds,
Or shoot the moon.
Cheetoes don't taste the same,
Neither does "Sodie pop".
You were my buddy and my friend,
But most of all,
You were the greandpa I never had.
