The wind
breath of life that
pours across the water,
lifts up over the mountain,
filters so swiftly through
restless, edgy pines,
swaying birches...
to flow with
abandon

through my
open window

a gift
a blessing
an invitation
to breathe
and live

and smile,
at the faithfulness
of God.

Thank you, Ginga, for reading this. I also love nature poems, as many of own reflect. I am grateful for your comment and will be coming by soon to see what's new on your poem list... your work never fails to impress me. ~Peace~

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
