Destiny
Hope and DestinyCombine and Combust
Bursting out of human souls
Desires and wants
Spin us in opposite directions
Our path is before us
The road we must traverse is set
Though we pull this way and that
Our feet our rooted
On our own personal trail.
The journey of life allows us
The freedome to twist and turn
To bend and sway as our mood defines
But our feet cannot stray
Even though we think we have control
We dont. Our course is chosen.
Even if we dont know it.
We reach out along the twists and turns
Grasping at the gnarled branches
That provide the lifeline to the outside.
But we must continue on.
Some people travel on winged feet
While others plod slowly on.
The paths are the same,
But the speed in whice we take them varies.
As I traverse my path
I look around at the others nearby
So many people fight their journey
Trying desperatly to pull away
But they only suceed in hurting themselves.
I feel their hands trying desperatly
To pull me off the chosen way.
But I will hold strong
And find my way
To the end of my journey.
