DEVIL'S PARADISE (c) Copyright 2009

Heat rises from the desert, making life hard to sustain
Every mound of sand scorched by the sun, thirsting for rain in vain
A bed and passage fit just for beings and game, with a resolve of strength
Travelers on camelback, predators and reptiles scurrying along its length
Survivers of drought and heat and vice, living in the devil's paradise.

You've painted a place like the Sahara where only the strong survive. Wherever this place is, you've already captured us with intrique.

A wonderful picture you've painted here, with your words, of a distant, far off land. An interesting contrast between the devil and the middle east. I know that's where it all supposedly began. What a horrific place now. All signs do seem to point to it being the place of the earth's demise as well. Great write. Thanks again... Kevin.

Thought-provoking, vividly expressed and well-written. You manage to reach the reader and maintain a level of interest throught the entire piece. The face value, opens so many routes for discussions. You are a master with the dark pen. "Thirsting for rain in vain" mmmhhhh, simply poetic at its best! Outstanding!
