    Different Worlds

Let us look beyond what is visible,
let us peer beyond the sense of sight,
let us give way to what's invincible,
to see the love, the world said was not right.

Let us hear the words that was never spoken,
let us listen to the voice of silence,
let us savor the magic left unbroken,
to break free from hypocracy and pretense.

All our senses can go unheeded,
if we're brave enough to reject all lies,
then we can transcend above what's not needed,
and be willing to take the forbidden prize.

But i'm not brave and i know, neither are you,
we both knew the truth so we chose to turn away,
we opted to act the way survivors do,
now we are the masters of games people play.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
