Life through the years may be often hard and rough,
wanting to call it quits, enough is enough!
Call upon the Lord for guidance and directions,
when choosing the way at all intersections.

Don’t turn left when looking to the right
you see the bright shining Holy Light.
Back or forth, a U-turn complete,
face life head-on, challenges meet.

Whichever path is considered for travel,
some will be sand and some will be gravel.
If the Lord shows a new route to take,
be obedient, don’t hesitate.

When you encounter a bump or a boulder,
pull over to rest on His soft shoulder.
Should life throw a sudden sharp curve,
slow down to yield, avoid a quick swerve.

Stop to look and listen for signs,
wait for His signals, steer between the lines.
If your journey veers away from the track,
consider the load He carried on His back.

Make all steps firm, expect to stumble,
as the Lord guides, He won't let you tumble.
Remember, He only wants for us the best,
but, we must first complete and pass His test.

So, rest now, close your weary eyes,
you’ll need your energy when you arise.
With each day there’s a new start,
take to the road and follow your heart.
