Poem Commentary

Mental museum..

Distance eternal

Silken garments, flowing over her in a gentle breeze.
Blind folded, reaching, frozen in limbo.
He is bound from the waist down in her shadow,
struck mute to silence his pleas, left to reach for her.

Thier tale, one of pure torture to the mind and heart,
Still it is anothers tale.. maybe someday I'll read.
For now I am perplexed, am in fact in a pure awe,
for I saw something else, something much deeper to my soul.

For a single moment I knew, I beheld the truth,
they are but tools in a greater event.
Standing there, eyes fixed at thier finger tips,
I felt forever.. in the space between.

Interesting piece. It seems like they lived on the edge of their fantasies. The last stanza really takes you inside the feeling of what they are striving for. Well done - 10 from me

I really like your writings. But I have to ask where they come from. I sometimes wish I could go where you go....

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
