    Distant Son

Why did you allow my shoulder painful defeat?
After the thousands of times I cleansed your feet.
No matter how many times it was cut I found a positive link.
I brought younglings to your arms and your arms held a drink
I admit I’ve allowed society too sway my mind
Please put my mind on track, so in the end it won’t be left behind.
For some reason when the feeling of love hits it’s weird
Feels like I am sick, or combing through a wired beard
If I had all the money in the world, I couldn’t buy your cell
No matter how many are created, you’ll be the only too know me well
Even if I ask for forgiveness I make the same mistake
With all my sin’s weight on my head, it’s hard too stay awake
    God’s created everything that’s what I m told
Let me in on another secret, this one’s stained and old

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
