    Do You Have To Hurt Me Too

    I know you have been hurt
    I know you have been blue
    I’m sorry there is nothing
    I can do
    I can lend an ear
    or some comforting words
    but that’s all I can give
    You kept it a secret
    You kept it from me
    until your heart was broken
    and then you wanted me to see.
    I have been there through it all
    I feel like you treat me like trash
    when will people brighten up and see
    I deserve to be happy.
    Again I’m sorry you are blue
    but do u have to hurt me too?

    Very good ~ I've found that hurt people are like wounded animals...untrusting and prone to lash out at the hand that dares to caress them...it takes much patience and compassion to love a wounded soul...still, if you love them, you persevere.
