    To a hypocritical relative.

    "Don't Miss Out On God"

        “Don’t Miss Out On God”

     

    nothing hurts like missing God

    why does that feeling seem so rare

    how can they miss the soft night feeling

    of humble knees bent in prayer

    in harbors of the softest sod

     

    nothing seems a bigger waste

    than those who turn away their face

    from the peacefulness of a Holy Place

    where humble eyes search for God

     

    What else matters in this life?

    Everything soon will pass,

    only what's done for God will last.

    He is waiting with open arms,

    Holding fast the staff and rod.

     

    beyond belief intolerance lives

    inside souls who claim to give

    Christian love from Christian hearts

    where truth and lies unknown depart

     

    blame is laid and rumor spread

    by those who commune ,

    blessed wine

    blameless bread,

    what hypocrisy

    to next decree

    the one who sins is not

    good enough for me
