    Poem Commentary

    dragons are magical...traversing all cultures

    DRAGONS

     inside the universal stream
    cultural reflections
    of reptilian display
    between reverence
    and foreboding
    the dragon lives
    in hearts and minds
    in dreams
    and recollections of forever
    from smoke and fire
    through times mists
    in deep caverns
    eyes flashing
    in the darkness
    glowing
    like embers
    flesh shining
    in sinewy cascades
    gleaming in the dim surroundings
    claws curled and ready
    tongue moving
    with serpentine guile
    the beast waits
    sensing its place
    in history's hand
    easing into ages
    yet revealed
    testing the patience of prey
    with the hunters eye
    strength born  of fear
    of impending doom
    infamous modes
    as the dragon lurks
    secure in its immortality
    remember

    wow truelly captured the essence of a mythical creature how it remains with us, nicely captured and bound together :)
