Dream of Flight

A dream of flight has unfolded
And falling I see the light
Twisted and turning,
Buffed by breezes and clouds
The ground looms closer and
With a snap wings are unfurled
Skimming the grass, snatching a leaf,
Climbing to release it at last
Landing finally, earth binding once
More, the wings are finally folded
Loosing once more the sense of oneself,
Until at last the dream is revealed.

Great work. I've had dreams of flying, and you sum them up really well. Keep soaring!

Thank you.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
