Drift Away

The world spins by without a care.
I do not even dare
It passes me by
And I just sigh
As it slips away
I'm Just wishing it would stay
My feelings sway
As it all drifts away
It all drifts by
As I gaze into the sky

Do exactly what you do. Commit your feelings to pen and paper. Lyrics to a song never sung or a book never written. The pain you feel is a gift given to you to help others realize that many are out there. Listen to lyrics, read the writings of others. We are all in the same ship. The challange is to never ever jump overboard. Recognize your gift and run with that gift. Your inner peace is waiting to meet you. A stranger that you helped through your writings will introduce you. Every day is a new challange. One day at a time. It's called baby steps. We all take them and we all walk the path the same way. Knowing that many share the same pain is comforting. Use it constructively. Your gift is being so young and feel so much. Appreciate what you have. Would you rather be a cold fish. I think not.

Time is a precious commodity and many of us are poor beggars. I know I am. Thank you of reminding us of that in this short little tidbit.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
