    Drowning

    Cruel and uncompromising
    your heart, cold and hard
as the diamond that graces my ring
    your need for attention
    could fill the grand canyon
    to the brim,
    forcing you to push everyone
    out of your boat,
    to drown beneath the water
just so you can raise the level
    a tiny bit more

I can relate, I really like this one

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
