    Poem Commentary

    Another poem about my love life, or lack thereof I should say.

    Elusive

     Written on 11-8-2010      42 Lines

    For the average man, his puzzle fits, he gets it, he can get a woman,
    He might not be avle to keep her,
    But her wont fail in retrieving her,
    I, am different, my puzzle is not complete,
    I do not know how to get a woman into my life, translattion, I cant compete,

    Sure I have read books, have learned from the worst and the best,
    Know even to a strong degree what to do and not say in most test,
    I have even tried my hand only to fail,
    In the earlier days as a child, I would cry until i wailed,
    Its funny, the thing i want most, it seems i just cannot have, obtain,
    Whether its something on my end that stops me or not it really doesnt matter, wheter i object or obstain,

    I often feel so close but am so far away,
    As if she was at channel Islands and I was at Monterey Bay,
    I cant seem to find a woman to like, though in truth many catch my eye,
    And it seems the ones that I do want are either taken or pass me by,

    There are some women so beautiful and physically so close, all i want to do is touch them,
    Hold them in my arms, engulf myself in the softness about them,
    They are so beautiful that in my eyes thoughts of sleeping with them tarnsih their beauty,
    But we all know given the situation I would not hesitate to fulfill my duty,

    I guess in short these women are the elusive women, and elusive because they are close but never in my grasp,
    As if to grab and catch nothing but air as my hands meet, clasp,
    Such an ardous task just to have a woman and if i miss a step I am lost,
    All work is tarnished and I'll pay a heavy cost,

    So i sit a statue, immovable, afraid at times to proceed,
    Sometimes for fear of failure, most for fear of simply doing the deed,
    It is hard for me to approach a woman and speak of my intent,
    Paralyzed not by result but the aaction to ask and so I repent,

    I wonder if true hope exists, can she,
    Be no longer elusive to me,
    Can I finally put my puzzle together and flow with women, however high the ladder that may be?
    I dont know, my hopw is wilted, I feel there no control left to be,
    Used and executed, so she is no longer elusive to me...

    The sentiment of this poem is one of a sense of failure and all is lost, but fear not dear one, you may yet find your own beauty. Be yourself, confidence in one's self is the magnificent magnet. Keep writing from the soul!

    It is not all doom and gloom with me,I havent given up, im just showing emotion. After all, i am human. In regard to confidence I know that rule well and am applying it. We will see how things come together. Thank you for the response though. I appreciate it.

    I like this, though i have no immediate connection to it. It flows nicely and the rhyming is perfect. reminds me of a friend of mine, convinced he'll die alone... a sad thought produced a great poem. good job, keep writing
