Emotional Rain
Amongst the grey sky, billowing grey clouds loom.
Floral scents dance through the breeze like a sweet perfume.
Thunder rolls a head, echoing through the night.
Lighting striking above, glowing in plain sight.
Walking alone through the deserted streets.
Small cool raindrops upon her skin, water splashing beneath her feet.
Her eyes close gently as she stands within the storm.
Her arms stretching out , as if she were to fly.
Spinning in circles slowly, her face towards the sky.
Rain masks her falling tears.
Tears of mixed emotion.
Her sorrow and pain flees
Happiness comes with the rustling leaves of the trees.
And she remembers.
What she had left behind.
What she came to this new place to find.
A life that she could have only dreamed of before.
This new world open and ready for her to explore.
No longer feeling alone.
And she is ready to search the unknown.
Knowing she soon will find her dream.
Hopeless to some it may seem.
She will never stop, she will never give in.
While she looks for her dreams and new life to begin.
Emotions change within the rain.
Knowing this feeling shall always remain.
