    Employee of the Year

I watch him as he sit at his table,
head bowed and brows filled with perspiration,
just sitting there... still like a vegetable,
pen at hand, waiting for inspiration.

Amidst the mountain of papers and files,
its been a while since he moved a muscle,
his strict employer looked on with proud smiles,
unaware, he's solving a crossword puzzle.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
