    enabling disability

    my mind stabilizes
    scattered pieces
    swept together
    transforming shape
    for a proper fit

    a forbidden balance
    like fog lifting
    ideas form
    thoughts process
    with toxic clarity

    my wounds, personal
    self-inflicted
    potentially harmful
    but self-contained
    mere social suicide

    memories are erased
    unfortunate symptom
    collateral damage
    irreversible side effect
    to this enabling disability

    Very touching poem

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
