Sleeping beside you, itchy sheet

Tossing and turning, on my feet

Soothing upset, lost my focus

In my ear, screaming locus

Flip my pillow round and round

Lost the comfort I once found

Hot and sweaty, restless night

Aggravation with all it’s might

Timeless slumber I am willing

To look at me from the ceiling

Far away in deep sleep

Rested time I can’t keep

Eagerly waiting to drift away

To a place where I can’t stay

Stop my mind but it is racing

Lost the dream I was chasing

Late at night, early morning

My red eyes, they are burning

My fingers tingle my legs are aching

Where’s the sleep I should be waking

Blinding sunshine raping the dark

Speeding bullet hits the mark

Completely exhausted, truly tired

Barely living, up and wired

So this day just keeps going

Lack of sleep and it’s showing

So I’m shit faced once again
