    Poem Commentary

    A free thought that flowed through me one day when I was pondering....

    Equilibrium

    Ancient mysteries arise
    Like sweet and fragrant smoke
    Heart, Mouth and Head are aligned
    When ancestors are invoked
    Now is revealed as the only time
    Holy moment ever-lasting
    Appearances ebb and flow
    And recede back into
    The ocean of illusion
    Illumination casts its glow
    Snuffing out confusion
    Veil is lifted, eyes wide open
    Reflecting Truth
    As does Mother Moon
    Displaying her Fullness
    Being her Allness
    Cycling within the
    Harmony of the Cosmos
    A deep knowing
    Is reignited within me
    Its flame fuels my spirit
    A way has been shown
    To a place of balance
    Harmonic alignment of Being
    Simple steps are walked
    On the path to equilibrium

    Make the words that you
    Say in your Mouth
    The same as what
    You believe in your Heart
    Make your feelings of Heart
    The same as the
    Beliefs of your Mind
    If the Mouth doesn't speak
    What the Heart feels
    Or the Head knows something
    That the Heart chooses not to see
    Then balance cannot find its way
    And there is harmonic misalignment
    Truth unto oneself
    Can heal the pain of self-deception

    I feel my roots anchoring me
    Firmly to my Being
    A new sense of assurance
    A primordial remembrance
    Of Me...

    There are those thoughts that are part of the great mysteries of the world, and sometimes I consider us fortunate to be able to hear [ or realize] these thoughts that seem linked to the world. THe poems has the third parts that ties it together as a being in deep thought. Beautiful words. Helios

    The first part seems to piece together the visual, the second part seems to bring about the epiphany. Then the last little stanza pulls together the conclusion. Interesting how the poem talks about harmony and is itself written in one. Loved the descriptiveness of it. The moon has many aspects to write about. Well crafted piece.
