Evening Rose
Evening Rose
Lawn adorned picturesque, see beauties part.
Upon air breezes fragrant to the nose.
Just basking in the sun to warm a heart.
Limbs stretching forth like wings of a dove.
A blooms soft and delicate, the beautiful rose.
Bountiful summer’s bouquet giving colorful love.
Maybe a bloom or so for a table’s center part.
For it would bring cheer to the guest’s heart.
Aromatic room to delight the patrician nose.
The aristocratic porcelain vase home to rose.
Soft music with candlelight to celebrate love.
Silk tablecloth decorated with morning doves.
Sitting there listening for our sweet words of love.
Exchanging intimacies cooing like doves.
Our secrets are safe, no gossiping on your part.
Bringing jubilant joyful love to the heart.
Adorn our love as you are resplendent rose.
Bestow your fragrances to sweeten the nose.
Gentle fingers trace the curves of face and nose.
Whispering, come closer my beautiful rose.
Heart beating like the flight of a hundred doves.
Leaning closer to the delight of my love.
He removed the flower and shorten stem of rose.
Tucking it in her hair, with a grin in part.
Ask would you honor me with a stroll, touching her nose.
There under the southern moonlight shown the beauty of a rose.
As he shared his dreams he turned the key to unlock her heart.
For she esteem and deemed his heart snow white as a dove.
She gave her loyal humble heart wholly, not just in part.
Riches I’ve not any but he only promised his infinite love.
Nervously, he took the rose from her hair and brushed her nose.
My lady would you marry me; for you have captured my heart.
Oh, I might, my darling, her answer, blushing the color of the rose.
Consider it is until the sands of time run out and death do us part.
Ever attentive, growing and nurturing, unbound patient love.
To give our love wings to soar high like the flight of a dove.
Gladly, my love, for without you the rhythm of life would part.
And my beating heart would be as lifeless as a dying rose.
As tears ran down her nose, yes, begun the journey on wings of a dove.
