    Ever Be

     Will there ever be
    A day of refreshing?
    A day of healing?
    A day when I will never
    Borrow, beg or wish
    I was a someone
    Better than the person
    That I am today?
    Will there ever be
    A day like that for me?

    Will there ever be
    A day of renewing?
    A day of recovery?
    A day when I finally
    Pick, dress or fix up
    This mess I am in-
    When will my time
    Of accomplishments begin to
    Take shape in my life?
    If graduation day is coming,
    When will it ever be-come
    A reality for me?

    Will there ever be
    A day of hoping?
    A day of trusting?
    A day when I never
    Doubt, worry or stress
    About all the things
    That seem to bother me-
    Will I ever be free from
    This rain cloud I am under?
    Under-paid, under-priviledged,
    Under so much pressure in life-

    If there is a happy day
    Left in this world to
    Offer me some peace,
    When will such a day
    Find somebody like me?

    Will there ever be
    A bright future for me?
