    EXPIRATION DATE

Do I have an expiration date?

It seems my body thinks I do,

‘Cause my heartbeat slows more each day,

My lungs gasp for air all the time,

And my legs can’t seem to hold my weight.

My bones crack and snap with each move I make,

My muscles don’t know what to do,

my feet ache with each step I take

And my knees lock up too.

My eyes aren’t seeing that good these days,

My fingers can’t bend that well

    My hearing is fading too,

    Can you tell?

    What is my expiration date?

you made me check the bottom of my foot....nope, no expiration date there....hmmm

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
