    Fairy tail

    The fairy's wings were wilting,
surely love had let her down.
    Belief so long since spent,
left her crumpled, bent, and brown.
Her eyes once full of star light,
     reflecting Heavens hue,
    are now full of discontent,
    distorting her every view.
Her heart once young and strong,
    that never missed a beat.
Has lost it's will to fly,
grounded at the old boy's feet.
Her dreams once full of promise,
that fell fast for every lie.
Have closed their eyes in darkness.
    Left alone to die

It is very beautiful, so mystical with the words but powerful with the truth behind it. Wonderful.

Even fairies need love and this makes perfect sense.

Beautiful... this is, indeed a sad fairytale. No one can fly with a broken heart, and if you can't soar into the clouds, your wings are destined to wilt. Nicely written, 10 from me.

At one time I collected Fairies and still have many of those in my home. Some I gave away as gifts. The Fairy is such a magical being filled with the enchantment of ole. How sad that in the world we live in today, to believe in such whimsical, yet mystical life is looked upon as delusional. Hence, to quote John Lennon: “I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?”

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
