falling down

falling down

i see you falling down
crumbling to the floor
and i don't know
how to help you

you never tell me
anything anymore
what is going on
i really need to know

you're sinking to the bottom
of the ocean
and we don't know
how to save you

you're going futher down
to the point where
no one can save you
not even me

i'm starting think
you don't want to be saved
maybe you need to fall
in order to get back up

I like this a lot, it reminds me of one of my best friends. The end is my favorite: "maybe you need to fall / in order to get back up". Anyway, great write.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
