Falling Petals

Falling Petals

She loves me
She loves me not
Love like a rose
Bright and true at the start
only to later wilt and fall away
a whisper in the breeze
sweet nothings
whispers in the dark
tears of joy and sadness shed
laughter and small smiles
soon grow to small frowns
tears hidden away
falling petals
there beauty lost
innocence goes with it
the harshness of the winter
clear to the brittle flower
She loves me
She loves me not
