    False Dialogue

It's as if this dialogue was planned since day one
A pre-programmed thing, said by everyone
Like we're so pessimistic we've known it since birth
All along we've known life would hurt

We're standing here now, reciting it again
You and me no longer, we're coming to an end
This breakup banter about still being friends
    Everyone knows that's only pretend

Let's fix the dialogue, take out the lies
A refreshing look of truth in your eyes
Forget the joke of making peace
We both know it's impossible for me

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
