FATHER

FATHER I KNOW I'VE DONE WRONG,
BUT YOUR FAITH ALONE KEPT ME STRONG.

MADE ME WANT TO SEE ANOTHER DAWN,
WHEN I THOUGHT I WOULDN'T LIVE LONG,
AND COULDN'T WHEATHER THE STORM.

AND YOU TAUGHT ME, IF I KEEP MY FAITH I WILL PROSPER,
BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

I LIVED MY LIFE LIKE A DEADLY OPERA,
MADE WAR WITH THUGS, PATCH UP BY DOCTORS.

AND FATHER I KNOW I'VE SIN AGAINST MEN,
HUNTED COUNTLESS ENEMIES. TIL THE END.

LUCIFER, MIGHT BE A PATRON SOON,
CAUSE IF I DON'T REPENT MY SOUL IS DOOM.

SO I CRAWL UP IN MY LITTLE ROOM ON BENDED KNEE,
PRAISE TO MY SUN AND MOON WHO SUPPORTED ME.

ALTHOUGH OUR D.N.A. DON'T MATCH,
PRAISE GOD I FINALLY GOT MY FAMILY BACK.

This poem is such a tribute to your growth and healing. Well done and thanks for sharing...God and all his angels are smiling on you now..I like the sun and moon line..It represents the balance between the masculine and feminine..which is vital to anyones spiritual health..blessings to ya

This poem is great. I love the way the words flow. This is very profound, and I'm glad you got your family back. Great job! Write more and share with me.
