fear of falling

  • Love

    fear of falling

    falling and catching myself
leaning too far back in my chair
being pulled backward by the hair

    failing at deep sleep
seems to be at the root of my dreams
    falling like rain and thunder
and the ironic twist of falling under

    falling and nursing such injuries
    the delicate and dirty decencies

falling in love and catching myself

I don't know why, but....I feel like screaming at the top of my lungs.....LET GO....the fear itself is usually much deeper than the first step....sometimes its not nearly as bad....I tend to see unusual things in my head when reading writes such as yours....so if I am off base...so be it....This was a cute short but sweet sentiment from you....it was light in touch and I am glad that you did....HOWEVER....wouldn't it be nice to just jump and soar like the eagle....or running with reckless abandon....*smile*...Cher

no, you are not off base. many of what i write is simply me getting out the frustrations in my little life that screams as it needs to. i lover your critiques and especially the kind words. i have jumped and soared with the eagles and feel ready to try again :)

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
