    Fell To You

Fueled by deceit, the blade was driven in.
I had nothing to lose and you twisted the pain.
You faked your obliviousness to my exploitation.
    You had everything to gain.

You tried to save me for your rainy day
    And proceeded with your routine.
I forged a counterfeit smile from my shelf
    Despite unraveling at the seams.

Puppet strings dangled from your hands.
I tried to see things from your view.
    My empathy was your ammunition,
And stumbling, I fell to you.

Love can be lust where one falls into a trap of being a puppet But is it worth it to live as a slave to someone you dont love? Cut the strngs. This poems message however, is a great one...Fake love creates misery.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
