Fin, Adieu

Fin, Adieu

Tracing down that bare line, until I go insane
I guess my inner masochist just needs its fix of pain
I am not ashamed to be the man I have become
Plenty sacrifices, many times I've come undone

And there's so much to say
Its hard to say, feel like my words are held at bay
Fin, Adieu...

Thoughts rearranged, two worlds estranged
Time to move on and turn the page
Fin, Adieu...

Consequences hurt, so don't get lost along the way
Heart is freezing colder, but I wont put out the flame
Burn a little brighter and remind me who I am
Every day that passes sees me give less of a damn

And there's so much to say
Its hard to say, feel like my words are held at bay
Fin, Adieu...

Thoughts rearranged, two worlds estranged
Time to move on and turn the page
Fin, Adieu...

I have come to terms with all I couldn't comprehend
None of it will matter where we all go in the end
Shadows, echos, voices - are all whispering "defend"
A heart of gold, a solid word, to yourself be a friend

And there's so much to say
Its hard to say, feel like my words are held at bay
Fin, Adieu...

Thoughts rearranged, two worlds estranged
Time to move on and turn the page
Fin, Adieu...

Blessed be, and thank you

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
