    Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem around the fourth of July, you know...Time for fireworks. I always thought the small town we lived in would be better off to donate the money spent yearly on fireworks to a more worthy cause, like the foodshelves.

    Fireplays

    Starburst light and silent explosions

    Flaming drops of fire

Falling through a black slik sky

    Neon colors

    Drifting downwards

    Give way to clear backwash

For falling stars and northern lights provide

    A superb late night performance

    Unequaled by all man-made attempts

    At annual night sky pageantry

beautiful imagery, makes me think of a winters night up north, but also gives me a warm feeling ass well, nice write! :)

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
