Fit In

Fit In

My imperfect body,

My imperfect face.

What can I do,

To please this place?

I am shut out,

I feel all alone.

How can I fix this,

I'll never know.

I try so hard,

To fit in.

But I'm all alone,

My heart is a tin.

I'll never fit in,

I'll always hate.

But how can I,

Decide my fate?

Just be myself,

And fit in.

What I'll do,

Is a great sin.

To end my life,

And always be still.

Maybe then I'll fit in,

This is my will.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
