    Flat Hunting on the city streets

    A month or two
    Spent scouring city streets
    Looking for a place to sleep,
    A place to cook and eat,
    Somewhere I call home,
    Seen a million and one
    Flats for one or two

    Price flash before my eyes
    A swirling mass
    Of Picket boards
    Signs proclaiming
    Here sleeps two
    For the very reasonable price
    Of your first born
    And a field of corn,

    It's a jungle out there
    Filled with hunters
    Stalking that elusive beast
    The one that grants you
    Food and board,
    Utilities included,

    Even seen a Harrods sale?
    Men and women on the prowl
    Seems just like that
    When you find such a place,
    The fighting and sroungin,
    Bargening everything you own
    In onw last desperate bid.
