    Poem Commentary

Eek. Young attempt at a love poem. I'm going to try very hard to forget that I ever wrote this...

    Fleeting Feelings

My love is like a river-
It will flow until you dam it.

My love is like a game-
    Fun until you lose it.

    My love is fleeting,
    My love is strong,
    My love is waning,
    My love is gone.

    No love lasts forever.
Let’s enjoy it while we can.
    No love can resist time,
    But join me in love.
    While it’s still there.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
