Poem Commentary

An older piece that's a part of an e-book I have on www.litsay.com

Flip the Script

I always say,
be about what you say
you want to be.

Don't in cage
your desires,
your courage,
or your emotions.

There needs to be
an expression,
to relate to.

Scratch and snarl
to exceed the need
to succeed.

Take the lid off
your self-
esteem,
and
just gleam.

In this light
you shine,
because
of the
life you led.

Keep on
Keeping on
no one can stop
you and your
decisions.

To be about
what you say
your about,
has always been
the vision.
