  • Cultures come to conquer and their gods applaud.

flirting

The dollhouse falls

Losing itself-

The violins

Also listen

The dollhouse, false

Lost itself-

The violence

Still listens

The dollhouse lost itself

in false violins,

listening to violence

Agreed...this is a fantastic play on words...quick witted and sharp...thank you for sharing it!

Yes, you have a repertoire of words that is second to none. And, those violins played a la pizzacato (going faster and faster) and then crashing........Caterino indeed these few words gave forth a melancholy song, or should I say lament......

Wow. Best play on words I think I've ever read! To read it out loud is fun,

Wonderful wordplay! You achieve a "meaning" beyond what the individual words convey--which is, of course, one of the purposes of poetry.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
