For John

For John

Imagine: A world with John Lennon
December 8, 1980, never happened
Him here today, 70-years-old
If his body never turned cold

Give peace a chance: with a piece of heart
The music he made was the greatest art
All four Beatles were damn fab, but he was the “smart one”
And along with intelligence, he knew how to have fun

Beautiful Boy: he was a great man
I’m proud to call myself a huge Lennon fan
Because of him, love and peace I have found
And what he said was true,
“Everybody loves you when you’re six foot in the ground!”

Rest In Peace John Winston Lennon
October 9, 1940- December 8, 1980

Very nice tribute to him, Shannen. Hats off to you:)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
