    Poem Commentary

    To comfort those during loss. This came to me from a dream on the other side, I had to write it!

    For the Bereft

     

    Dearest ones

    Do not grieve for me

    Come together for restoration, re-connection and reflection

    My power and loving essence surrounds you

     

    Remember me in death, as in life

    I am at peace and at one with serenity

    Holding you ever close to my bosom

    My heart is filled with joy and gratefulness having known you

     

    Live each moment expressing your individuality and oneness

    Celebrate your existence in the present

    Do not wait to thank others

    Appreciate those who are in your midst

     

    Live on, Live Well until your time for transcendence is come

    One day you will also be reunited with all of the Universe

    Your energy will never die but encompass everything that is

    Love with the fullness of your heart until then…..

    Ken, thanks so much for your kind words about "For the Bereft", I was given this poem from the other side through a dream I had to answer a question that was plaguing me about a lost loved one. I am just the messenger...but thank you!

    just beautiful ... you're one of the first poets I ever read on this site... and here you are, still pulling winners out of the sphereworld into hereworld... dreamy, happy, restorative, faithful, linger a bit more, I like your poem, longer. and to think that you're raising a boychild... just blesses my world !!!!!

    A strong compassionate write... some good friends of mine celebrated their daughter's birthday yesterday - she would have been 22... they lost her in a car accident about six months ago and are still missing her greatly - though as you have said in your wonderful peaceful way --- their energy lives ON!!! 10

    Thanks Soulwriter, you know for some who have lost dear ones, it may be the only solace to hang onto , just knowing that the energy is not cancelled out, it still lingers on... this drives the tears away and forces a gentle smile over the sadness... I understand it all too well, unfortunately. I believe that some writes come to us to console us and if we share it, it can help others cope with loss, as well. Ty

    Stryx, Thanks for reaching out. Hopefully "For The Bereft" gave you some quality of solace, though i know that nothing can remove the sadness you must feel in losing your dear partner. I received this poem as a message during a strange and lonely dream. I have found that writing and reading other poets helps me cope with many things. Thanks for your supportive and kind words.
