    Not knowing how poems are judged in  the contests it seems  favoritism is shown rather than poetry content. As a result I will no longer enter any  more poems in the contests

    For the Good of All Mankind

    For the Good of All Mankind

     

    Congratulations Mr. President

    On winning the Nobel Prize for peace

    Despite all the myths of malcontent

    May your efforts never cease

     

    May the high road you ever take

    Against all the negativity hurled at you

    And may your trek through History leave in it’s wake

    A legacy to all men you were true

     

    And though the road ahead may seem

    uncertain as the times unwind

    May we the people embrace your dream

    And your precepts stand behind

     

    May the God of all creation

    Richly bless and embrace you

    As he has done for our world and nation

    And by his mercy carry you through

     

    And once again congratulations

    For winning the Nobel Prize

    May God grant peace to all nations

    Who to your plan subscribes

     

    And may we the people settle our differences

    And unite one more time

    Putting aside petty offences

    For the good of all mankind
