    For the Grieving

How can you tell someone all will be well,
    that pain is only temporary,
when you know emptiness can be pure hell,
    especially when amidst its fury.

How can you convince someone it's ok,
cause not all promises were meant to last,
when you're not the one who faces each day,
with shattered pieces of a fragile past.

Are words enough to comfort and assure,
when words can never take away the pain,
no matter how sincere, it still won't cure,
it still won't stop the out-pour of the rain.

So what can i offer, what can i do?
especially when we are worlds apart,
i can only vow, i'm here always for you,
to make sure time will one day mend your heart.
