Forever Grey

Poem Commentary

It is my hope that as I sort through and post some more of my older work, I re-awaken... someone witin. I'm so lost...

Forever Grey

Raindrops fall upon the
roof
And splatter against
the window.
I see the lightning flash
across the sky,
And hear the thunder
follow.

The rivers have flooded
The flowers have drowned
Only the trees still hold
their green.
But the rain continues
to pour over the land;
They'll die soon too.

I'm told it will stop,
Then the sun will shine
bright;
And everything will bloom
in full color.
But all I can see
Is the grey of the sky
And the rain forever
falling.
