Forever Love

As she walks into the room, my eyes light up with happiness

She jumps into my arms and hugs me as if I was the most important person alive.

I hold her tight gently rubbing her back ever so softly, lost in the moment.

For a brief moment in time I am happy to be alive and here holding her tight.

All my worries fade and disappear, my heart is overjoyed, and the empty hole has been filled.

As the embrace ends I am left feeling light and peaceful, with a smile on my face and such love in my heart.

She has no worries for I am there for her with all the strength, passion, and love that I possess.

My heart is hers until the day it remains still and my soul goes to the heavens, waiting for the day we can be reunited.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
