    Forfiture

     You come to me on bended knees
    You seek forgiveness while I still bleed
    I'll forgive, but not with ease
    I'll never forget, spare me your "please"
    I was always loving, good to you
    I never lied, I was always true 
    5 years lost before you were through
    Now Im new, and here come you
    I've got nothing more to give than a friend
    for a friend is more than you were in the end
    Old time sakes and all that shit,
    but you'll never regain what you chose to fore-fit 
    No trust
    And the wound
    That you carved in me will forever bleed
    Though its been 
    Quite some time 
    And though I am stronger, no longer blind
    I've still lost
    Something big
    Like the innocent smile of a little kid
    I can't trust
    Can't believe 
    In true love, soul mates, in another being.

    This poem comes from some deep pain and hurt. A truly hearfelt poem. I really enjoyed reading this keep up the good work.
