Forget Him

Poem Commentary

This is about forgetting and remember at the same time.

Forget Him

Forget his face, forget his kiss,
Forget his name, and his warm embrace,
Forget the time you spent together,
Remember now, he's gone forever.

Forget him when they play your song,
Forget the times you've cried all night long,
Forget the closeness you two once had,
Remember now, he's chosen her.

Forget those gentle teasing days,
Forget the time he came your way,
Forget your whole wide world,
Remember now, he loves another.

Forget the love that you once knew,
Forget the love you once thought was true,
Forget those things you used to do,
Remember now, she loves him too.

Forget the thrills when he touched you,
Forget about when he made you cry,
Forget the love you two once had,
Forget it though it breaks your heart.

Forget he said that he would wait,
Remember now, his love is hate,
Forget he said he'd leave you never,
Remember now, he's gone forever.
