    Forget not

Is it our fate to live history
of our Red race between dawn and dawn
    The long wrongs the
       few swift joys
The forever knocking of our Ancestors
        Foeget Not Forget Not
    Is it the drumming
      in our souls
    Is it love of our
     Mother Earth
    Or perhaps remembrance
     of a land once free
Never was there a question of
      us owning Mother Earth
Ah no quite the contary the
     Earth owns us
    We are her fertil soil
    We carry her throbbing pulse
     close beneath our skin
    She insnares us with
     our birth
    We are her multitude
    With her cry we respond
    We die with her pain
      in our souls it drums

This is my favorite of your poetic charm. I've read the rest of your poems but this one is right on target. Great imagery, superb plot. Yes, its got it all. Thanks for sharing. LOL, BDC

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
