Poem Commentary

Funny thing about Forgiveness, it's really just so simple to do it and it releases so much pain for both parties.

Forgiveness Haiku

Forgiveness Haiku

Doors loose, arms embrace

wide eyes smiling, full of tears

forgiveness lingers

Very nice. Love the image of "Doors loose" as if there is nothing that wants to hide behind them and that there opening demonstrate the letting go of forgiveness "loose:" unfastened, not secured, pliable, and thus, "open." Well done.

Forgiveness comes in many ways, yet always mends and brings peace. A short but sweet write holding much, be well k

Thanks K, it is hard to get that emotional release in that 575 sequence. It was a fun exercise. Thanks for your response to it.

Forgiveness is not a magical word, but when enacted can enable wondrous, life-changing results. Much said succinctly in the art of Haiku! Applause Crescendo!!

Mars, thanks for reading it and commenting. Haikus are always an exercise or like a brain teaser for me to condition my faculties somehow, or tune them. Smiles!

"To err is human. To forgive is divine." Forgiveness is God's way of cleansing the soul. Otherwise, one's loathing and hate will fester and consume from the inside out. It takes a bigger person to forgive then to despise. Wonderfully thought provoking. Thanks for sharing...Kevin.

Cleansing- Yes that is a perfect word to describe what I was doing in my Haiku. You summed it up well.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
