There could have been some mistakeYou know, when you said you loved me.
I mean, it actually didn't sound fake,
But, are you sure you were talking to me?
I willl have to leave and come back, dear,
For I fear that I'm heading for sorrow,
I must be sure your words are perfectly clear.
So, can we talk again on the 'morrow?
In the past, I was always so assured,
But, I was dealt the losing hand.
Then, after some crying, I was lured
Into taking my head out of the sand.
Again, I gave love another try.
If you want to be happy you must bend,
Love again, hurt again, I just cry.
To this comedy, invitations, I'll send.
Over time the hurt seems to lessen.
Over time, I feel better, but, then,
I meet you, and must make a confession
I have fallen for someone again.
It is you who has stolen my heart.
Is it you who will be my new love?
Speak up now, you must do your part,
In this tragedy, this comedy, called LoVe.
