Panoramic Poetry

I have recently begun to publicly share my poetry after writng for almost 20 years. The energy and environment is very welcoming, warm and non-judgemental at Panoramic Poetry. It is defintely a place for poets to check out.

It is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 701 Market St., 3rd floor at
7:30pm on the 2nd and 3rd Fridays of each month Hosted by none other than the warm and welcoming Crucial. the entry fee is a mere $10 at the door.( the entrance is on 7th Street just north of Market St.

Like I am new to this, and how do I know if my poems got posted or not? I am not getting much feed back, and I have posted alot of poems, so I am not sure if they actually got posted. They are on my page, though. Thank you.

I believe I know this place. I will try to be there.... Do you know if there is anyone talent schoping because I'm trying to be "discovered"?

Hello,I'm new at this and a tad bit handicap due to being disabled.I'm flattered to find my picture in this forum and i'm not quite sure how I became part of a book called Liquid Reflections,How does this forum work ?I'm still very confused by this and a little overwhelmed that I was selected for a book without notification from www.originalpoetry,com.At first I thought it was a gag or perhaps i'm mislead

The Poetic Journalism Challenge!
Hello fellow Poets,

I am issuing a challenge in this forum for poets to pay attention to the world around them. If you read an article, see a story on the news, see something with your own eyes that you feel is newsworthy and the story must be told, my challenge is to tell it!

There is no right or wrong way to do this, the forum is still in its infancy. I have posted a story in here we can use as a model for now until this catches on and other brilliant minds improve upon it. Read my story on the All-American Canal...

When you have your story, start a new thread in this forum. Enter the Title as a news headline to attract readers. Enter a short commentary to your story and if there are any links that may be relevant or pictures, post them as well. We want others to read it and be informed, and possibly to even write thier own entries on the subject you have brought to our attention. Or at the very least to start a debate on the subject.

Think Bob Dylans 'Hurricane', Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's 'Ohio', or John Lennon's 'John Sinclair'. Not all stories have to have such a serious tone. They can be humourous or satirical, but they must be something you were inspired by, and should be relevant as well.

Good luck, message me with any questions or concerns. And start posting your own threads and spreading your messages to all the poets out there.

We are failing to realize that just as how there is no satisfactory nor arbitrary definition for God, there is none for poetry. There is no such such thing as "bad' or "good" poetry. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,only good or bad readers, good or bad audience, good or bad poets, good or bad critics. .

I would like to thank the many poets that endured reading the poem entitled "The Platypus." There were 6 episodes in telling the story of Little Nick aka "The Platypus" and the comments that I received were better than I had expected. A special thanks to Teardrops, WordSlinger, ApaqRasgirl, MindNumbing, KoolMom0,
Kmooney, dahlusion, JanetGunn, ianscott and Sydney. In reponse to their comments and suggests I have begun to write a sequel entitled "Little Nick Runs Away From Home". It is my hope that the sequel will meet with the same success as the original poem "The Platypus". And yes, at the advice of those poets who read the work I am reaching out to publishers of children's books. Here are a few lines taken from the sequel:

That night while everyone was fast asleep,
Little Nick was wide awake.
In his room he was stuffing his backpack,
A sweater, pajamas,socks and a ham sandwich.

That's all for now and I will alert my poet friends when the poem is completed.
