Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!]I respect poets in all walk of life. Its courageous to write and not fearful to be judged. I welcome all poets to read my poems, feel free to comment on them. I will do the same for you. I thank all in advance for your constructive criticism and honesty, I hope to meet few understanding poetic friends. |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!It is definately worth reading, all the poetry. I was really surprised that people are enjoying my poetry so much. The style is a little radical but I did not think I was even worthy of being on this site. My professor forced me to do this and I am glad. |

Poems are a Cure for the LonelyI would like to write but i feel poems should be entertaining and make a person smile. |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!I LOVE TO WRITE. Not always complicated, thought provoking issues. I try to touch on all bases. My favorite of course is "Romantic Poetry" love, love loss, love anew, love in every forum. Always seeking new heights in Love!!! I am glad I found a new outlet |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!does anyone here actually read poetry, besides me? I find most seem to just chat, and say "read me please" LOL! |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!Please, read, rate, and comment and I do the same of your writing. Thank you and Many Blessings... |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!Hello, I am new here. I am looking for readers to read and give constructive criticism on my poetry. |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!Hi, |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!I am grateful to many here for their critique of my work and equally happy in my reading of others work. One thing I might suggest is I am overwhelmed by having too many choices to read of a persons work. If you want me to read your work and offer me say 5 choices it is more likely that I will read all 5. If you offer me 15 or more most likely I will only read one. |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!Hi, My poet name is lilyofval. I have submitted several poems but don't know how to get them read and rated. I thought maybe this would help. Most of my poems are about family, like my children and grandchild. I wrote a couple that are patriotic and the last one I entered is about women and love. Please read my poems and give me some feedback. I'd be glad to return to return the favor. Thanks, Lilyofval (Marilyn). |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!Thank you for the post that you wrote concerning how we should respect and critique each others poems. So many times poems are rated not for the style of the poem but based on whether we like that type of poetry or topic. I appreciate how we are all able to express ourselves through diversity and creativity from every walk of life. Thank you once again! |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!Was that for me? i did read it before posting....i still dont think love making is an iproper term.....over acting minds can be dangerous.....i didnt mean anything special by the term love making....it can be as simple as kissing.....i protest that its bad language or anything lewd....this is rediculous!! |

Re: Sticky: READ BEFORE POSTING!I've been on this site about a week.....mostly reading but have posted a few poems. I am experiencing a bit of writer's block last evening and today. There is some poetry on here that consumes me and because I don't find the same excellence in my own work, I quit. I have that perfectionist tendency to not do it at all if I can't do it perfectly. |

I am honored by the comments that have been left for me because they came from poets I consider to be true poets. Their work, their words speak for themselves. Anyway, thanks for reading, for sharing. Thanks to the owners who put this website on-line, most of all. Welcome to the site! Its always great to see new faces! There are a lot of people offering constructive criticism. Be sure to post your poems in the Forums, and build your friend network up. Everyone feels critical about their own work. -Papa Paczki |

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
